5 Habits You Can Adopt to Stay in Shape

If you want to appear good, be able to dress well and generally have a nice personality that people look up to then you need to stay in shape. It is also important because it directly affects your health. People may think it’s hard but if you adapt a few simple habits, you will always stay in shape which is why we decided to share some with you!

The following simple change of habits will help you keep your body in shape:

1- Move Around A Lot

Don’t just spend your entire day looking at a laptop screen and sitting at one place. Move your legs around. Take small breaks to walk around the office. Get up to drink water.

If you don’t have the time to go to gym, just stay active during the day and you will be burning calories without even realizing.

2- Prefer Stairs over Elevators

Yes, we know it’s time consuming, not to mention exhausting but it burns calories and keeps your legs in shape.

Avoid taking the elevator and go towards stairs. You will notice the difference because it’s actually a great exercise.

3- Don’t be Lazy

It can be very tempting, giving other people your chores but don’t. Do your own laundry, cook your own food and clean up your own place. It’s a complete work out in itself. Squeeze in a couple of squats while cooking, a couple of push ups while doing laundry.

4- Think Before you Eat

It’s true. Cut down on carbs, salt and fatty food. Avoid ordering takeout and going for food with artificial sugars in it. Eat a healthy, balanced diet. And try not to consume more than 2000 calories in a day.

Don’t snack on junk food, switch it with fruits and vegetables.

5- Take a Walk Daily

Either before you hit the bed or in the early morning, go out for a walk. It doesn’t have to be long and strenuous. Just a brisk pace for 20-30 minutes will do you a world of good.
