Here’s a list of healthy foods you can incorporate in your diet to get a healthy skin!

Fatty Fish

Salmon, Mackarrel and Herring are all excellent foods for your skin because they contain Omega-3 fatty acids that are essential for maintaining skin health. They keep the skin supple, thick and moisturised. They also make your skin less prone to sun and UV damage and prevent acne.

Fatty fish also contain vitamin E which is an important antioxidant for the skin.

Omega-3 and Omega-6, both can be found in walnuts and that’s what makes them excellent for your skin.¬†Walnuts are a good source of essential fats, zinc, vitamin E, vitamin C, selenium and protein, all of which are nutrients that help your skin stay healthy and well.

Broccoli

This wonderfully green vegetable is full of many vitamins and minerals important for skin health, including zinc, vitamin A and vitamin C. It contains sulforaphane which is a powerful agent when it comes to preventing skin damage. Broccoli is also known to fight certain types of skin cancer. It neutralizes harmful free radicals and turns on other protective mechanisms inside your body.

Tomatoes

Vitamin C and major carotenoids like lycopene make tomatoes great for your skin and it’s health.

Compounds like beta-carotene, lutein and lycopene are known to reduce signs of sun damage and ageing. They also help fight wrinkles.

Because these carotenoids need fat to dissolve pair your tomatoes with things like cheese and/or olive oil.
