Acne is caused due to inflammation in your pores which is caused due to bacteria trapped in the skin. Prevention is better than cure so we decided to tell you some tips that will help in preventing acne.
Here are a few ways in which you can prevent acne.
Limit Sun Exposure
Sun exposure can dehydrate your skin and block your pores by producing more oil than normal. Use a sunscreen that is oil free so that if you have a tendency to break out, it can stop that.
Exercise Regularly
Exercise is essential, not just for your mind and body but also for your skin. Just 30 minutes of regular exercise keeps your hormone levels in check and releases toxins through sweating which in turn reduces the chances of breaking out with pimples. After exercising, cleanse your face properly.
Clean Pillow Covers and Towels
Your pillow covers and towels store bacteria and when you get in contact with that, it leads to acne. Wash your pillow covers, bed sheets and towels regularly. Also, make sure your make up brushes and sponges are clean before use.
Cleanse
Every night, before going to bed, cleanse your face with a cleanser that’s either cream based or foam based. Clean your face by removing all traces of makeup etc. and then cleanse. Tone your skin afterwards and apply a water based moisturiser before going to bed.
Balanced Diet
A balanced and healthy diet is essential if in preventing acne. Incorporate a lot of fruits and vegetables in your diet and avoid eating oily food or food with high sugar content. Drink lots and lots of water so that your skin stays hydrated and your pores don’t get oily.
Know your Skin
It is important to know what suits your skin and what doesn’t. If you have oily skin, you need to use products that suit it and similar things go for other skin types.
