Getting Rid of Dark Circles

Whether you’re sleep deprived, dehydrated or cried; your eyes give you away in the worst way possible. Yes, dark circles!

You could use a concealer to hide them but let’s admit it, we want to get rid of them for good, right? Here are a couple of things you could take care of to keep the dark circles in check!

Stay Hydrated

Water is not overrated and when someone says it’s your best friend, believe them. When you are dehydrated, your body starts to retain water and that shows under your eyes. So, remember to hydrate yourself and have at least 6-8 glass of water every day!

Sleep Well

If you aren’t sleeping well and on time, your eyes will show that to the world in the form of dark circles. A good night’s sleep in not just important for your health but also for avoiding the bags under your eyes. Try going to bed early and keep distractions at a minimum. Aim for at least 6-8 hours of sleep every night!

Tea Bags

Tea bags work wonders for your eyes. They have caffeine and tannins that constrict your blood vessels, making them less visible and hence effectively reducing dark circles.

Just soak tea bags in hot water, take them out and refrigerate until they cool down and place over each eye for a few minutes.

Be Gentle

The area under your eyes is extremely sensitive and you need to treat it as such. When you have to be in contact with that area, try to be extremely gentle and not rub it too much. Use make up removers that are skin friendly and don’t require a lot of rubbing to get the makeup off because you can easily damage the area under your eyes while trying to get that concealer or mascara off and we don’t want more reasons to use concealer now, do we?
