Let’s admit it, post workout hunger pangs are a thing but we are never sure what to eat. We don’t want to waste all the time we spent burning those calories.

Here’s a guide as to what you can eat post workout without feeling guilty!

Leafy Greens

The darker the leafy greens, the better. They are rich in dietary fiber, vitamins C, A, E, and K, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and other phytonutrients. These not only help you lose weight but are also great for boosting immunity!

Fruits and Vegetables

Vegetables and fruits are a great way to boost your energy levels. If you feel like you’re drained from your workout, eat fruits like banana, pear, apples, plums etc. These also help flush out all the toxins from your body.

It’s recommended to eat at least 4-5 types of vegetables and fruits in a day to stay healthy so get on it.

Eggs

Eating eggs can be really good for you because these are full of water soluble and fat-soluble vitamins, minerals, and most importantly, essential amino acids and proteins. They are an excellent source of proteins in abundance but stick to 4-5 eggs per week rule and you will be healthy and your energy levels post workout will stay high.

This poultry is another very good source of proteins and it tastes delicious too. Make a post work out meal of it using veggies etc. and grilling it lightly in olive oil.

Avocado

This is a miracle fruit that’s high in calories but loaded with healthy fats, dietary fiber, and vitamins A, C, E, K, and B6. It is good in aiding weight loss and also helps minimize the risk of cardiovascular diseases so toss some up in a salad or make guacamole but you need this wonder fruit in your diet asap!
