Blackheads are the most annoying, infuriating thing we all have on our faces at one place or another. To get rid of blackheads, can be painful too but it doesn’t really have to be.
Here is how you can easily get rid of blackheads but remember, no pain no gain.
Baking Soda as an Exfoliater
Baking Soda has microdermabrasion-sized particles that help buff away dull and dead skin. They can easily clean the clogged pores which eventually lead to blackheads. Just make a paste of baking soda with water and apply it on the affected area. You will start to see results with regular use.
Pore Strips
They may not be as effective immediately, but in the long run, pore strips will go a long way. They will get rid of the black heads and leave your pores clean. Just let the pore strip dry on your nose for at least 15 minutes. When you rip it off, do it like you would rip off a bandage. Make it quick, in one smooth move. This way, it wont hurt as much and well get all the goop out.
Salicylic and Glycolic Acid
Get cleansers and toners that have Salicylic and Glycolic Acid on the ingredient labels. Salicylic acid is a lipophilic (attracted to fats/oils) and concentrates at the surface of the pore to dissolve the plugs. Using it consistently will allow you to prevent the blackheads from form and help clear existing pores. Glycolic acid helps clear dead skin and debris on the surface of skin.
Don’t Pick on Blackheads
The worst thing you can do to yourself is to pick at your blackheads. Let your skin care routine do that job, not your nails (or tweezers). Even though it’s tempting to quickly get rid of them, picking at blackheads will only make the long-term situation worse and you could also get acne scars.
